Physiotherapy
Hands-on treatment and exercise to help you move well again, with longer appointments so nothing is rushed. Evening appointments at our Heaton clinic in Newcastle.

What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy helps with pain, stiffness and injury by looking at how you move. We find out what's behind the problem, treat it hands-on, and give you exercises and advice so you know how to look after it yourself.
It suits a sore back after a weekend in the garden just as well as getting back to sport after an operation.
What to expect
How physiotherapy works with us.
Hands-on, every time
Every appointment includes hands-on treatment as well as exercise. You won't just be handed a sheet and sent home.
Longer appointments
60 minutes for your first visit and 45 for follow-ups, so there's time to assess, treat and explain properly.
Strength and movement
Exercises to build strength and control where you need it, set at a level that suits you.
Knowing what to do
A plan you understand, checked and moved on at each visit, so you can keep on top of things yourself.

Your first appointment
Your first appointment takes an hour. We'll ask about the problem, your general health and what you want to get back to, then look at how you move. We'll explain what we think is going on in plain English and suggest a plan. Treatment usually starts the same day.
Follow-ups are 45 minutes. Wear something comfortable you can move in, and shorts if it's your hip, knee or ankle. You don't need a GP referral.
If we can't help, you won't pay
If we assess you and don't think we can help, you don't pay for that appointment, and we'll point you to someone who can.
Two treatments, one visit
Pair physiotherapy with a sports massage or chiropractic, back to back, at our Heaton clinic. One trip, two practitioners who plan your care together, and it costs less than booking them separately.
First visit + massage
Your physio assessment, then a 30-minute sports massage.
Treatment + massage
A physio session, then a 30-minute sports massage.
Physio + chiropractic
Physiotherapy and chiropractic in the same visit, planned together.
Regular appointments
Once you're back on track, some people like regular check-ins to keep on top of things. We'll suggest a routine that suits you, whether that's every few weeks during a training block or the odd session when things start to build up.
Ask us about membership if you'd like regular appointments.
